  On the eve of Diwali festival, the newly framed committee Veerwan Pandit Colony Committee (VPCC) of the Pandit Colony Baramulla met the administrative dignitaries Deputy Commissioner Baramulla - Dr. Nisar Ahmad Naqash, S.S.P. Baramulla - Sh. Imtiyaz Hussain Mir, Tehsildar Baramulla - Sh. Moeen A. Kakroo, and S.H.O. Baramulla - Sh. Khalid Sahib for conveying the information about the newly framed committee. The new committee came into existence through a signature campaign held in colony. The signature campaign was held on 27th Sept. 2017 and on 17th Oct. 2017 the new committee was named as Veerwan Pandit Colony Committee (VPCC), Baramulla. The core members of the body framed are as: Chairman - Sh. T. N. Pandita, President - Sh. Avtar K Bhat, Vice-President - Sh. Amit Koul, General Secretary - Sh. Rohit Raina, Secretary - Sh. Arash Pandita, Under Secretary - Sh. Anish Misri, Treasurer - Sh. Kuldeep Ji, Addl. - Treasurer - Sh. Rinku Roshan, and Advisors - Sh. Rajinder Nehru, Ms. Neetu Bali and Sh. Ashutosh Raina. Besides the core body there are 5 Chief Executive Members and 25 Executive Members in the body.



The VPCC members were welcomed by all administrative dignities with warm regards and they discussed many issues related to the Veerwan Colony Baramulla. With the hon’ble D.C. Baramulla they discussed the issues about the electricity cuts, street light repairs, drinking water problems and less electricity cuts on the occasions like Diwali. With the hon’ble S.S.P. the discussion was about the security concerns keeping in view the ups and downs situations of Kashmir. Both the dignitaries gave the assurance that all the discussed points will be taken care of. The Tehsildar Baramulla appreciated inhabitants of the Veerwan Pandit Colony on framing a representative body. The S.S.P. Baramulla and the S.H.O. Baramulla assured the VPCC committee to provide a healthy environment to celebrate Diwali and the inhabitants of the Colony were so much over overwhelmed with happiness by feeling the conducive environment. The inhabitants of the Veerwan Colony Baramulla were surprised by the S.S.P. Baramulla when the dignitary himself came to the colony to celebrate the festival of lights with the people of colony upon the invitation of team VPCC.

Sh. Imtiyaz Hussain Sahab himself had a security survey by roaming across the colony and assured that fast actions will be taken to fill the small security gaps. The festival was also joined by many local Muslim community friends of the inhabitant where in J&K SAVE YOUTH SAVE FUTURE Chairman Sh. Wajahat Farooq also joined to celebrate the festival and discussed the problems suffered by the inhabitants of the colony.

It was so much healthy environment in the colony that the people got very much emotional by feeling an era post 1990s when this festival was being celebrated like it is being today. The team VPCC by means of the print media wants to thank all the dignitaries to provide us conducive environment to celebrate the festival of Diwali and most thankful to S.S.P. Baramulla to keep regard of the invitation of VPCC and making our Diwali a big bash by visiting the Veerwan Colony Baramulla.
