Today, as on 1/12/2020, Save Youth Save Future (SYSF), in collab with the Indian Army, inaugurated the Women's Kashmir Premiere League (W-KPL).

The inaugral ceremonies took place in North, Central & South Kashmir concurrently with young girls, representing their respective squads, locking horns in a T-20 format.

"The idea is to make sports gender neutral, in other words, it could be said, that, just like the way boys play sports, so should the girls...There should be no taboos attached with young girls playing cricket...Let there be platforms for them at local & state levels, so that they would eventually excel at national & international levels"...said Wajahat Farooq (Chairman SYSF).

Hordes of crowds were seen cheering while the young girls played cricket...."There are societal notions in our valley, that, sport is for a particular gender, & not gender inclusive; initiatives akin W-KPL helps rid us from such medieval mindset & foster societal equity & mutual progress"...said Insha Bashir (Skipper, Baramulla Swingers).

SYSF intends to carry-on with its core values of women empowerment, & societal integration, & therefore, would engage in constructive processes akin W-KPL in its future endeavours too.
